… this is the number of days until New Year 2011.
It's that time of year: Good tidings abound, warm memories are shared, children (and grown-ups too!) wish for largesse from a certain elf and for happiness in the coming year. In honor of Christmas and its 12 days, I want to share 12 things I wish – specifically, that everyone knew.

•           "Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man."

• "An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves."
